Automotive Film & Car Photography

Paint is a mirror. The place, the hour and what the panels reflect make most of the picture, so we choose them for your car before anyone turns a key.

Why BLOCK SiXTY

  • Passion

We at BLOCK SiXTY don't take on work just to fill a calendar. Behind every lens is a stubborn, genuine love of the craft. Every colour grade, every cut and every last pixel is a deliberate decision, made with care, because we love this work.

  • Fast

We know what it's like waiting on media, twiddling your thumbs while you need content. So we take pride in working around your schedule. Tell us the day that suits you, we'll do everything we can to be there, and we get your finished work back to you as quickly as we can do it right.

  • Local

We aren't some big corporate agency. We're a small, local team that has been making media across Western Canada for years, and we're not going anywhere.

Selected work

Built cars, in their best light

Selected automotive work: a wrapped build at blue hour, a widebody in concrete, and the details owners notice first.

A gold art-wrapped Toyota with red underglow parked on an open parking deck at dusk.
A yellow and black striped widebody coupe inside a concrete parking structure.
Rear of a dark sports car with round lit taillights and a rear wing at dusk.
Low close view along the side of a car with an illustrated anime-style wrap.
Blue hour. The hour chosen for the paint, not the other way round.

What your car gets

What Your Car Gets

A reveal, a sale, a meet or just a build you're proud of. Tell us what it's for, and we'll shape the shoot around it.

  • Stills that flatter the lines

The angles, the place and the hour, chosen for the car's colour and shape.

  • Rolling shots

The car in motion, on a route we plan with you before the day.

  • Detail studies

Badges, wheels, wraps and stitching: the work someone put into it.

  • Garage and event days

Build days, reveals and meets, covered with a plan.

What the work can give you

Real things your car can use.

  • On the ad

Hero stills that sell the lines.

The first photo a buyer sees, shot for the car rather than the car park.

  • On your feed

Vertical clips, framed on the day.

Shot tall on purpose, so nothing important is cropped out later.

  • At the reveal

A short film for the big moment.

Movement, sound and detail for the day the build goes public.

  • Years from now

    The build at its best.

A proper record of how the car looked when it was exactly how you wanted it.

Why it matters

Every build has hours in it that no spec sheet can show.

The late nights, the parts that took months to find, the colour you agonised over. We shoot so people can feel it.

Stance first.

Ride height, width, the way the body sits on its wheels. We find the angle where the car looks exactly the way you imagined it.

Let it move.

A car that only ever looks parked is missing half its character. Rolling shots give it weight, speed and life.

Sweat the small stuff.

Tail lights at dusk, a wrap's linework, the stitching you chose. Owners notice these first, and so do we.

Have a car people should see?Tell us about it

Before you book

Questions car people ask us.

That's the whole point. Tell us about the build: the parts, the story, the details you're proudest of. We plan the shoot around them.

It depends on what you need: stills, rolling shots, a film, or all three. Tell us about the car and what it's for, and we'll give you a clear quote.

Yes. Dusk and night are some of the best light for cars, as the frames above show. We pick the time around the car's colour and where it's parked.

If you want them. Tell us where the content is going and we'll frame vertical shots on the day, instead of cropping them out later.

Yes. Meets, garage days and reveals are part of the work. We agree a shot list first so nothing important is missed.
